FAQ – SWISS BATCH

Find here the answers to the most frequently asked questions about Swiss Batch, our CBD products, legislation, your orders, delivery and our customer service.

SWISS BATCH & OUR PRODUCTS

Swiss Batch is a Swiss brand specialising in the production and sale of premium CBD cannabis.

We work with different genetics, including our own crosses and selections refined over several cycles, with the aim of achieving distinctive aromatic profiles, high-quality flowers and consistent production from one batch to the next.

No middlemen →
We’re growers, so you buy directly from us. We’ve been in control of our cultivation and production costs for over 10 years, and we operate with full transparency Martel Farms.

No inflated prices →
We’re tired of inflated prices or prices based on the illegal market, too. Growing our own cannabis allows us to offer a fair price, for you and for us. And to show you what cannabis really costs (keep in mind that costs in Switzerland are higher than elsewhere, but that doesn’t stop us from offering our products at a fair price).

No synthetic cannabinoids →
We’re tired of inflated prices or prices based on the illegal market, too. Growing our own cannabis allows us to offer a fair price, for you and for us, and to show you what cannabis really costs.
Yes, producing in Switzerland is expensive. So is growing indoors. Yet our products still cost less than cannabis grown elsewhere in Europe or around the world. Ask yourself the right questions.

Made in Switzerland →
Our growing facilities are in Switzerland. This is where we grow your cannabis.
The flowers in the Swiss Batch range are 100% grown in Switzerland.

We favour small-batch production in order to maintain better control over each harvest and ensure optimal traceability.
Beyond the particular attention paid to genetic selection, phenotype selection, drying, curing and the final sorting of the flowers, what sets us apart is our “living soil” cultivation method, as well as the transparency we can offer because we are directly connected with our customers.
Living Soil, or “living soil”, is a cultivation method based on a biologically active substrate and the natural balance of the soil.

This approach aims to promote microbial life in the substrate and the plant’s natural functioning rather than treating the soil as a simple growing medium.

As you will have understood, it is neither the simplest, nor the fastest, nor the most profitable method, but we sincerely believe it is the best way to grow this plant and obtain the best possible product from it.
Indoor refers to cultivation carried out entirely indoors, in an environment where light and the main parameters can be controlled.

Greenhouse refers to cultivation under glass, which notably benefits from natural light while offering greater protection and control than outdoor cultivation.

Outdoor refers to cultivation directly outdoors, which is more dependent on the seasons and natural conditions.

No method is inherently “better”: each one makes it possible to obtain different characteristics and profiles.
These are the internal references for the different Swiss Batch selections.

Each number corresponds to a variety and a specific genetic and aromatic profile. The number therefore represents neither a quality ranking nor a potency level.

For the time being, we have chosen not to invent “marketing” strain names, so you will have to make do with our internal nomenclature.
Above all, we recommend looking at the aromatic profile, the type of cultivation, the genetics and the cannabinoid levels indicated on each product page.

Some varieties lean more towards fruity or floral notes, while others have more woody, resinous or citrus profiles.

There is no universal “best” variety: the choice depends above all on your preferences.
Each Swiss Batch harvest is tested before being marketed.

The Swiss Batch flowers currently on the market have a THC content that complies with the applicable standards.
Cannabis remains a natural plant product. Slight variations in colour, size, structure, moisture or aromatic intensity may therefore occur between two harvests.

Our selection work and production methods are specifically intended to limit these variations and maintain as consistent an identity as possible for each reference.
Store your products in their properly closed packaging or in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

In particular, avoid excessive heat, sunlight and humidity.

Always keep products out of reach of children and animals.
The flower corresponds directly to the dried flower of the plant.

Hash, or resin, is obtained from the trichomes naturally present on the plant, which are separated and then processed using different methods.

The texture, resin concentration and aromatic profile can therefore be very different from one product to another.

CBD, THC & TERPENES

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the many cannabinoids naturally present in cannabis.

It is known for its relaxing, calming and anti-anxiety effects

Unlike THC, it is not considered to produce the “high” generally associated with cannabis rich in THC.
CBD and THC are two cannabinoids naturally present in cannabis, but their effects and legal status differ.

THC is primarily responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis. CBD, meanwhile, is responsible for effects of relaxation, calming and relief.
CBD is not a plant: it is a molecule called cannabidiol.

The terms “cannabis” and “hemp” refer to plants of the Cannabis genus. The term hemp is generally used to refer to varieties or uses associated with low THC levels, particularly in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
Terpenes are aromatic molecules naturally present in many plants, fruits and flowers.

In cannabis, they are notably responsible for a large part of the differences in smell and aroma between varieties: citrus, red berries, floral, woody, resinous, spicy notes, etc.

They also modulate the effects on the body, notably through the entourage effect (terpenes interact synergistically with cannabinoids to modify, enhance or personalise the overall experience (relaxation, stimulation)), while being completely free of any psychoactive effect.
CBD itself does not produce the psychoactive effect characteristic of THC.

CBD flowers and resins derived from cannabis may nevertheless contain traces of THC within the permitted limits.
Yes.

A CBD cannabis flower may naturally contain THC.

The relevant Swiss Batch products are selected and tested in order to comply with the applicable limit.

A “CBD” product should therefore never automatically be interpreted as meaning “zero THC”.
CBD does not have the same dependence profile as substances such as nicotine or THC.

In all cases, we recommend responsible use.
If you are undergoing medical treatment, have a medical condition or have any doubt about a possible interaction, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using a product containing CBD.
As a precaution, we advise against using products containing CBD during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

CBD OILS

Swiss Batch offers several concentrations: 5%, 10%, 15% and 30% CBD.

• 5%: ideal for discovering CBD or using small amounts (microdosing).
• 10%: an intermediate and versatile concentration.
• 15%: for users looking for a higher concentration.
• 30%: our most concentrated oil, allowing you to obtain more CBD with fewer drops.

A higher concentration is not necessarily “better”: it simply means that the same amount of oil contains more CBD.
There is no universal dosage, because the response to CBD varies depending on the person, the concentration used and the desired effect.

To begin with, we generally recommend starting with a few drops, then gradually adjusting the amount based on your experience.

The exact CBD content and instructions for use are indicated on each product page.
Oil above all allows for simple, precise and easily adjustable use of CBD.

Consumers notably use CBD as part of their relaxation, unwinding, sleep, recovery or general well-being routines. Cannabidiol is also the subject of research in various areas such as stress, anxiety, pain or inflammatory mechanisms.

The effects and sensitivity to CBD nevertheless vary greatly from one person to another.
Keep your oil properly closed, away from light, heat and major temperature fluctuations.
A Full Spectrum CBD oil contains cannabidiol (CBD), but also the other compounds naturally present in hemp: different cannabinoids, terpenes and other plant molecules.

Unlike a product based on isolated CBD, a Full Spectrum oil therefore aims to preserve the plant’s natural and complete profile as much as possible, in order to provide an optimal entourage effect, which is one of the greatest strengths of this type of product and allows it to offer maximum effectiveness.
The cannabis entourage effect refers to the synergy between all the compounds in the plant (cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, terpenes and flavonoids), which act together to produce an overall effect that is more powerful or more balanced than a substance used in isolation.

This is one of the main advantages of a Full Spectrum oil: rather than using only isolated CBD, it retains a broader range of molecules naturally present in the plant.

This effect is now one of the main reasons why many users favour Full Spectrum extracts.
Yes, a Full Spectrum oil may naturally contain a small amount of THC because it retains a broad spectrum of the cannabinoids present in the plant.

Swiss Batch oils comply with the legal requirements applicable to their marketing.
